لقنت (بالإسبانية: Alicante، بالكاتالانية: Alacant) تقع في مقاطعة بلنسية في جنوب شرق إسبانيا. يبلغ عدد سكانها حوالي 322431 نسمة. يعتمد إقتصادها على السياحة، الزراعة و إنتاج النبيذ. تبعد عنها جزيرة تاباركا مسافة ثلاثة أميال.

وهي مدينة صغيرة عامرة وبها سوق ومسجد جامع ومنبر ويتجهز منها بالحلفاء إلى جميع بلاد البحر وبها فواكه وبقل كثير وأعناب ولها قصبة منيعة عالية جدا في أعالي جبل يصعد إليه بمشقة وتعب وهي أيضاً مع صغرها تنشأ بها المراكب السفرية والحراريق وبالقرب من هذه المدينة وبالغرب منها جزيرة تسمى أبلناصة (Isla de Tabarca) وهي على ميل من البر وهى مرسى حسن وهي مكمن لمراكب العدو وهي تقابل طرف الناظور ومن طرف الناظور إلى مدينة لقنت عشرة أميال ومن مدينة لقنت في البر إلى مدينة الش مرحلة خفيفة ومن مدينة لقنت إلى حلوق بالش (Mar Menor) سبعة وخمسون ميلاً.|الإدريسي|نزهة المشتاق في اختراق الآفاق}}
