Napa County is governed by a five-member Board of Supervisors. The current supervisors are:
- District 1: Brad Wagenknecht,
- District 2: Mark Luce,
- District 3: Diane Dillon,
- District 4: Alfredo Pedroza,[13] and
- District 5: Keith Caldwell.[14]
In the United States House of Representatives, Napa County is in California's 5 congressional district, represented by قالب:Representative/format/pfl.[15]
In the California State Legislature, Napa County is in the 4 Assembly District, represented by Democrat Bill Dodd, and the 3rd Senate District, represented by Democrat Lois Wolk.[16]
The county is one of three counties in California to establish a separate department to deal with corrections pursuant to California Government Code §23013, along with Santa Clara County and Madera County.[17]
