	سياسة الاتحاد الأوروپي

حزب الشعب الأوروپي (EPP)، هو حزب سياسي أوروپي يضم أحزاب المحافظة^[6] والمحافظة-الليبرالية^[2] كتنظيم وطني، يتألف من أحزاب سياسية أخرى، وليس من أفراد. تأسس الحزب على يد الأحزاب الديمقراطية المسيحية عام 1976، ومنذ ذلك الحين توسعت عضويته لتشمل الأحزاب المحافظة الليبرالية والأحزاب التي تتنبى سياسة يمين-الوسط.^[7]^[8]^[9]^[10]

وهو أكبر حزب في البرلمان الأوروپي منذ عام 1999 وفي المجلس الأوروپي منذ 2002. كما يعتبر أكبر حزب في اللجنة الأوروپية الحالية. ينتمي رئيس المجلس الأوروپي، رئيس اللجنة الأوروپية ورئيس البرلمان الأوروپي لحزب الشعب الأوروپي. الآباء المؤسسون للاتحاد الأوروپي، كانوا أيضاً من الأحزاب التي شكلت حزب الشعب الأوروپي. خارج الاتحاد الأوروپي، يسيطر الحزب أيضاً على غالبية مقاعد الجمعية البرلمانية لمجلس أوروپا.
