گرنڤل ملن دودج

گرنڤل ملن دودج Grenville Mellen Dodge^[1] ‏(12 أبري 1831 - 3 يناير 1916) كان ضابطاً في الجيش الاتحادي في التخوم وكان رائداً في المخابرات العسكرية أثناء الحرب الأهلية، حيث أدار مخابرات يوليسيس گرانت في مسرح العمليات الغربي. وقد قام بالعديد من المهام، ومنها قيادة الفيلق السادس عشر أثناء حملة أطلنطا.

ولاحقاً عمل نائباً في الكونگرس الأمريكي، ورجل أعمال، ومسئول في صناعة السكك الحديدية حيث ساعد في توجيه إنشاء سكة حديدية عبر القارة. ويقترح المؤرخ ستانلي هيرشون أن دودج، "by virtue of the range of his abilities and activities," يمكن اعتباره "أكثر أهمية في الحياة القومية بعد الحرب الأهلية من زملائه وأصدقائه المشاهير، گرانت، شرمان، شريدان."
