مجلس الأمن القومي الأمريكي

يجب ألا يـُخلـَط بينها وبين United States Homeland Security Council or National Safety Council.

مجلس الأمن القومي الأمريكي (National Security Council, NSC) في البيت الأبيض، هو مجلس تابع للرئاسة الأمريكية يختص بقضايا الأمن القومي والأمور المتعلقة بالسياسة الخارجية مع مستشار الأمن القومي ومجلس وزراء الولايات المتحدة وهو جزء من المكتب التنفيذي للولايات المتحدة. ومنذ إنشائه في 1947 بعهد هاري ترومان، كانت وظيفة المجلس هي نصح ومساعدة الرئيس في قضايا الأمن القومي والسياسة الخارجية. كما خدم المجلس كذراع رئيسي للرئيس لتنسيق تلك السياسات بين مختلف الوكالات الحكومية. وللمجلس نظراء في مجالس الأمن القومي للعديد من البلدان.
