الشعوب الجرمانية
الشعوب الجرمانية Germanic peoples (وتسمى أيضاً الشعوب التيوتونية، السويبية أو القوطية في الأدب القديم) are[1]، هي جماعة لسانية عرقية أوروپية هندية من أصل شمال أوروپي، يحددون باستخدامهم اللغات الجرمانية والتي اشتقت من الجرمانية البدائية التي بدأت أثناء العصر الحديدي الروماني البدائي.[2]
في العصور الحديثة أُستخدم أحياناً للإشارة إلى الجماعات العرقية الناطقة باللغة الجرمانية و/أو أسلافهم المزعومون و/أو الروابط الثقافية بالشعوب الجرمانية القديمة.[3] في هذا السياق، فالشعوب الجرمانية القديمة تشمل النرويجيون، السويديون، الدنماركيون، الآيسلانديون، الأفريكانيون، الفلمنجيون، الفريسيون، الناطقون بالاسكتلندية وآخرون.[4][5][6]
