فضاء منكوڤسكي

في الفيزياء والرياضيات، فضاء مينكوڤسكي Minkowski space أو زمكان مينكوڤسكي هو البناء الرياضي الذي تستند اليه نظرية النسبية الخاصة لأينشتاين . في هذا الفضاء الجديد تندمج الأبعاد المكانية الثلاثة المعروفة مع بعد زماني جديد لتشكيل عديد تفرع manifold رباعي الأبعاد لتمثيل الزمكان.

يدعى فضاء منكوفسكي تيمنا باسم الرياضي الألماني هرمان مينكوڤسكي. فهو يعني الفضاء ذو الأبعاد الأربعة المثالية التي أوجدها ألبرت أينشتاين.
