جين كى‌يو (Jin Keyu ؛ الصينية: 金刻羽؛ مواليد 13 نوفمبر 1982) هي اقتصادية صينية. وهي أستاذ جامعي للتمويل في جامعة هونج كونج للعلوم والتكنولوجيا[1] وأحد القادة العالميين الشباب في المنتدى الاقتصادي العالمي، متخصصة في الاقتصاد الكلي العالمي و الاقتصاد الصيني.[2] قامت جين بالتدريس في مدرسة لندن للاقتصاد لمدة 15 سنة.[3] تركزت أبحاثها على اختلال التوازن التجاري العالمي والتسعير العالمي للأصول ونموذج النمو الاقتصادي للصين.[4]

النشأة والتعليم

وُلدت جين في بكين، الصين. أبوها، جين لي‌تشون، الاقتصادي والسياسية الذي سبق أن نائب وزير مالية الصين والرئيس المؤسس للبنك الآسيوي لاستثمارات البنية التحتية.[5](p. 136)[6] في عمر الرابعة عشر، انتقلت جين إلى البرونكس، مدينة نيويورك، للالتحاق بـ مدرسة هوراس مان.[7]

حصلت جين على بكالوريوس الآداب في الاقتصاد في 2004 وعلى دكتوراه الفلسفة في الاقتصاد في 2009، كلتاهما من هارڤرد.[8]

السيرة

Jin is a specialist in macroeconomic and financial policy issues.[5](p. 136) Her research focuses on global imbalances and global asset prices, drivers of China's growth model, the impact of the one-child policy, and the Chinese saving puzzle.[9]

From 2009 to 2016, she was an assistant professor of economics at the London School of Economics,[10][11] before becoming an associate professor.[12] Jin was named Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2014.[13] Jin was also a visiting professor at Yale University on the Cowles Fellowship from September to December 2012 as well as at UC Berkeley from January to May 2015.[2] In 2022, Jin joined the board of Credit Suisse[14] and was a member of the Risk Committee and the Digital Transformation and Technology Committee.[15] She is a member of the China Finance 40 Forum.[5](p. 136)

Jin has advised and consulted for the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.[16] She also has had experience at financial institutions, including Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and Morgan Stanley.[16] She is a columnist for Project Syndicate and Caixin Magazine,[9][16] and has contributed opinion pieces to media outlets such as the Financial Times and the South China Morning Post.[9] Jin also serves as a non-executive director of Richemont Group, the world's second-largest luxury goods company.[17] She served on a working committee for China Banking Regulatory Commission on Fintech[9][16] and sat on the editorial board of the Review of Economic Studies.[2][9]

  • The New China Playbook: Beyond Socialism and Capitalism, May 16, 2023.[18] In The New China Playbook, Jin writes that China has achieved significant progress without following the "Western path" and its innovation and technological development challenge the view that China must converge with Western economic systems and political persuasions to continue its development.[5](p. 136) The book takes a positive view of China's mechanisms of state-led economic intervention.[5](pp. 136-137)
