السير جون إڤرت ميليه Sir John Everett Millais, 1st Baronet (عاش 1829 ـ 1896). رسام إنجليزي ساعد في تأسيس جماعة قبل الرفائلية عام 1848. وتكونت هذه الجماعة من الشعراء والرسامين الذين كانوا ينادون بأن يقدم الفن رسالة أخلاقية من خلال الموضوعات الراقية. وتدور معظم رسوماته حول موضوعات أدبية أو دينية. رسم ميليه صورًا مفصلة وواقعية بأسلوب ما قبل الرافيلية حتى حوالي 1857، ثم غيَّر أسلوبه ليرسم صورة عاطفية شاعت إلى حد كبير. كما أنه رسم صورًا شخصية للإنجليز البارزين في عصره، وأنجز رسومات للكتب والدوريات.

طفولة رالي واحدة من أشهر لوحات السير جون إيفرت ميليه، ويعد أسلوبها الطابع المميز للوحات الفنان التالية التي ذاع صيتها في إنجلترا.

ولد ميليه في ساوثامبتون، وكان طفلاً نابهًا، حضر المحاضرات في الأكاديمية الملكية للفنون حين كان في الحادية عشرة من عمره، وانتخب رئيسًا للأكاديمية الملكية عام 1896م.
