الانتخابات الأمريكية 2026 مُزمعة ليجري معظمها في 3 نوفمبر 2026. في هذه الانتخابات النصفية، المقرر إجراؤها خلال فترة ولاية الرئيس الجمهوري دونالد ترمپ، الولاية الثانية غير المتتالية، سيتم التنافس على جميع مقاعد مجلس النواب الأمريكي البالغ عددها 435 مقعداً و35 من أصل 100 مقعد في مجلس الشيوخ لتحديد تشكيل الكونگرس الأمريكي رقم 120. كما ستُجرى انتخابات حكام 39 ولاية وإقليم، وانتخابات المدعي العام، والعديد من النتخابات الولائية والمحلية.


الخلفية والحملات

فاز الجمهوري الشاغل دونالد ترمپ بالانتخابات الرئاسية 2024 ضد الديمقراطية كمالا هاريس ويرجع ذلك جزئياً إلى وعود حملته الانتخابية مثل التجديد الاقتصادي من ارتفاع التضخم 2021–2023،[2][3] والتركيز على الشأن الداخلي الأمريكي بعيداً عن التشابكات الخارجية مثل حرب غزة والحرب الأوكرانية الروسية.[4][مطلوب مصدر أفضل]

فرضت إدارة ترمپ الثانية تعريفات جمركية على معظم بلدان العالم بهدف إعادة التصنيع الأمريكي، وهو القرار الذي لاقى استقبالاً متبايناً. وقد انتقده الخبراء[5][6] وقادة العالم[7][8] لتفاقم التضخم بدلاً من محاربته. سياسات الهجرة التي انتهجتها الإدارة، بما في ذلك الترحيل من قبل وكالة الهجرة والجمارك بسبب التمويل المعزز عبر قانون مشروع القانون الكبير الجميل، تم فحصها أيضاً من قبل الخبراء والناشطين.[9][10]

مزاعم محاولة تقويض الانتخابات

في يناير 2026، أفادت واشنطن پوست أن إدارة ترمپ الثانية اتخذت عدة تكتيكات، بما في ذلك إعادة تقسيم دوائر الكونگرس في منتصف العقد لتحقيق مكاسب حزبية، مقاضاة المعارضين السياسيين، والضغط لتغيير أساليب وقواعد التصويت، والتي كانت تهدف إلى تقويض الثقة في انتخابات التجديد النصفي.[23]

لويزيانا ضد كاليس

توقع المحللون أن الحكم في قضية كاليس بتقليص نطاق قانون حقوق التصويت قد يُمكّن الجمهوريين من كسب عدد كبير من المقاعد في مجلس النواب الأمريكي من خلال إعادة تقسيم الدوائر الانتخابية في الجنوب الشرقي، حيث منع القانون عموماً المجالس التشريعية التي يسيطر عليها الجمهوريون من زيادة عدد دوائرهم "المضمونة". وقدّرت نيويورك تايمز أنه في حال أضعفت المحكمة القانون، فقد ينتقل ما يصل إلى اثني عشر مقعداً من سيطرة الديمقراطيين إلى سيطرة الجمهوريين..[36][37]

عندما أُعلن عن الحكم في القضية، وصفته وسائل الإعلام بأنه قرار "تاريخي"، وتوقعت أن القيود الإضافية على القسم 2 من قانون VRA من المرجح أن تجعل تحديات إعادة تقسيم الدوائر أكثر صعوبة بشكل ملحوظ. يتوقع المحللون أن يسمح للولايات الجنوبية بإلغاء مقاطعات الأغلبية-الأقلية، وهو تطور من شأنه أن يضخم تمثيل الحزب الجمهوري في الكونگرس ويؤدي إلى الحرمان الفعال للعديد من الناخبين.[38][39][40][41] واعتبر الباحثون القانونيون القرار بمثابة تتويج لجهود روبرتس لإضعاف VRA منذ أن جلس على مقاعد البدلاء،[42][43][44] بينما اعتبرت وسائل الإعلام القرار بمثابة إنهاء فعلي لقانون حقوق التصويت ويضر بالعملية الديمقراطية في البلاد.[45][46] واعتبر معلقون آخرون أن الحكم بداية حقبة جديدة من قوانين جيم كرو، التي تسمح بالتمييز القانوني للأقليات.[47][48] وكان من المتوقع أن يؤثر رأي المحكمة على جميع مستويات الحكومة بما في ذلك الحكومات الولائية والمحلية.[49][50][51][52]
