ولاية سيناء (الدولة الإسلامية)
The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant – Sinai Province (ISIL-SP; العربية: الدولة الإسلامية في العراق والشام – ولاية سيناء) [5] is a militant Islamist group active in the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt.

Ansar Bait al-Maqdis (ABM) has been part of the Sinai insurgency and has been especially active in the Sinai Peninsula since 2011 after the deterioration of security there, focusing its efforts on Israel and the Arab gas pipeline to Jordan. After former Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi was deposed in the 2013 Egyptian coup d'état,[6] Egypt also began a crackdown on jihadist groups in Sinai and elsewhere.[7] ABM and other jihadist groups intensified their campaign of attacks on Egyptian security forces. On 13 November 2014, ABM pledged allegiance to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), and adopted the name Sinai Province (Wilayah Sīnāʼ) claiming to be a branch of ISIL.[8][9] Al-Baghdadi was killed in October 2019.
It was believed that Abu Osama al-Masri was leader of ISIL-SP from August 2016 until his death in June 2018, but not much other personal information is available.
In March 2021, it was reported that ISIL-SP leader, Salim Salma Said Mahmoud al-Hamadin, was killed during clashes with Egyptian and Bedouin forces near Al-Barth, south of Rafah.[10]

خلفية
في 10 نوفمبر 2014، أقسم الكثير من أعضاء جماعة أنصار بيت المقدس بالولاء للبغدادي، زعيم داعش.[11] ISIL supporters from the group describe themselves as "Sinai Province" (العربية: ولاية سيناء Wilayat Sinai).[12][13] يوجد أيضاً فصيل من جماعة سيناء يمارسون أنشطة في قطاع غزة، والذي أعاد تسمية نفسه بالدولة الإسلامية في غزة.[14]
عند حل جماعة أنصار بيت المقدس، انضم جزء كبير من الجماعة لداعش، مؤسسين ما يعرف بولاية سيناء.[15][16] يقدر عددهم ما بين 1.000-2.000[17] fighters.[18]
