ماكنتوش أو المعروف اختصارا ب"ماك" هي عائلة من الحواسيب الشخصية يتم تطويرها وإنتاجها وتسويقها من قبل شركة أبل كمبيوتر.

تسمية ماكنتوش (Macintosh) تعود إلى إسم أحد أنواع التفاح اسمه McIntosh . وأول جهاز ماكنتوش تم إطلاقه في 24 يناير عام 1984 بذاكرة حجمها 128 كيلوبايت بحملة إعلانية قوية. وكان أول حاسوب شخصى ناجح في السوق مزود بواجهة الاستخدام الرسومية و الفأرة بدلا من واجهة سطر الأوامر التى كانت قياسية في ذلك الوقت. المدى الحالى من أجهزة ماكينتوش يتراوح بين ماك مينى Mac mini لسطح المكتب والخادم متوسط المدى اكس سيرف Xserve. أنظمة ماكينتوش موجهة بشكل أساسى لسوق الإستخدام المنزلى، و التعليم، و المتخصصين في المجالات الخلاقة.

أول حاسوب ماكينتوش ظهر عام 1984

حواسيب ماكنتوش في البداية استخدمت عائلة Motorola 68k من المعالجات الدقيقة قبل الإنتقال لمعالجات بور بى سىPowerPC من موتورولا و IBM في عام1994. في عام 2006 انتقلت أبل إلى معمارية معالجات انتل، والتى سمحت لأول مرة لأجهزة ماك أن تشغل أى نظام من أنظمة x86. أجهزة ماكنتوش الحالية تستخدم سلسلة Intel Core وIntel Xeon 5100 من المعاجات الدقيقة.

كل طرازات ماك تأتى محملة مسبقا بأحدث نسخة من نظام ماك أو إسMac OS، ورقم إصدارته الحالية 10.4 وتسمى 'تايجر Tiger'.
