حمض كلاڤيولينك
حمض كلاڤيولينك INN ، هو مثبط بيتالاكتاميز من انتاج (گلاكسو سمث كلبن سابقا Beecham) ,فى بعض الاحيان يمزج بشق بنسيلين للقضاء على أنواع من البكتريا المقاومة لاصناف أخرى من المضادات, ويستخدم للقضاء على البكتريا المفرزة ل إنزيم بيتالاكتاميز, الذى يشل فعالية معظم البنسيلينات, وفى صورته الشائعة فإن ملح البوتاسيوم potassium clavulanate يعطى مع أموكسلين في صورة co-amoxiclav وهو brand name Augmentinأو veterinary formulation Synulox from فايزر, أو [كلاڤيولكس]) أوticarcillin.

The use of clavulanic acid with penicillins has been associated with an increased incidence of cholestatic jaundice and acute hepatitis during therapy or shortly after, particularly in men and those aged over 65 years. The associated jaundice is usually self-limiting and very rarely fatal.[1]
