وكانت جوجل قد تعاقدت مؤخرا مع شركة آبل للحاسب الآلي لتقديم خدمات مثل البريد الالكتروني والخرائط على جهاز أي فون الذي طرحته آبل.
وقالت صحيفة وول ستريت جورنال الاقتصادية مؤخراً إن جوجل استثمرت مئات الملايين من الدولارات في المشروع وانها تتعاون مع شركتي تي موبيل في الولايات المتحدة وڤرايزون للاتصالات.
وأضافت إن جوجل تسعى لزيادة حصتها من سوق الاعلانات على شركات الهواتف المحمولة وهي سوق مهمة ويتوقع أن تبلغ قيمتها 14 مليار دولار أمريكي بحلول عام 2011.
