العصر الإديكاري Ediacaran Period، يشمل الفترة الزمنية من حوالي 700 مليون سنة مضت حتى 570 مليون سنة مضت، وعاشت خلاله مجموعة حفريات إديكارا التي تتكون من عديدات الخلايا الرخوة، أي لاتحتوي على أي مادة هيكلية، ويصنف معظم المؤلفين العصر الإديكاري على أنه القسم الأخير من دهر البروتيروزوي، إلا أن كلاود وجليسنر Cloud & Guaessner عام 1982 اعتبراه أقدم عصور حقبة الحياة القديمة.
