الانتخابات التشريعية عُقدت في 10 و17 يونيو (وتواريخ أخرى لبعض الناخبين) لانتخاب أعضاء الجمعية الوطنية الفرنسية، بعد أقل من شهر على عقد الانتخابات الرئاسية في 6 مايو.^[3]^[4] سيتم التصويت على اختيار جميع مقاعد الجمعية الوطنية البالغة 577 مقعد.

^ As in 2007, the UMP passed a nationwide agreement with Nouveau Centre. But this time, most agreements are local and made with independants, centrists and other leftovers from the UDF, which split in 2007. Moreover, any UMP candidate who'd ally with the National Front faces a ban.

On the one hand, in key constituencies, Socialists support a Radical or Green candidate and send none of their own. There is a similar, but separate, agreement with another small party, the Citizen and Republican Movement (MRC). According to Libération's 7 March 2012 edition, this agreement attributes 9 electoral districts to the MRC, including 4 or 6 "winnable seats", plus 6 substitute candidates.
