فوكايا Phocaea، أو Phokaia (باليونانية: Φώκαια؛ وحالياً اسمها فوچا Foça في تركيا) كانت مدينة أيونية يونانية قديمة على الساحل الغربي للأناضول. المتعمرون اليونانيون من فوكايا أسسوا مستعمرة ماساليا (التي هي اليوم مارسيليا، في فرنسا) في 600 ق.م.، إمپوريون (التي هي حالياً إمپورييس، في قطلونيا، اسبانيا) في 575 ق.م. و إليا (التي هي حالياً ڤليا، في كامپانيا، إيطاليا) في 540 ق.م.

Electrum coinage of Phocaea, 340-335 ق.م..

Probably following the Lydians, the Phocaeans were among the earliest in the world to make and use coins as money. Its earliest coins were made of electrum, a naturally occurring alloy of silver and gold. The British Museum has a Phocaean coin containing the image of a seal dating from 600 to 550 BC.
