فردريك هاسلكويست (Fredrik Hasselquist ؛ 3 يناير 1722 - 9 فبراير 1752) كان رحالة وعالم طبيعيات سويدي.
وُلِد هاسلكويست في بلدة تورنيفالا (Törnevalla) بمقاطعة لينشوبنغ (Linköping)، التي تبعد كيلومترين شرق مدينة لينغهم (Linghem) في أوسترگوتلاند. درس على يد كارولوس لينيوس في جامعة أوبسالا، وأصبح واحدًا من "رسل لينيوس". بسبب الأسف المتكرر الذي أعرب عنه كارولوس لينيوس لعدم توفر معلومات عن التاريخ الطبيعي لبلاد الشام، قرر هاسلكويست القيام برحلة إلى تلك البلاد. بعد أن تم جمع تبرعات كافية لتغطية النفقات، وصل إلى سميرنا (إزمير) في نهاية عام 1749.[1]
زار أجزاءً من آسيا الصغرى، مصر، قبرص وأرض فلسطين، وجمع مجموعات طبيعية ضخمة، لكن صحته الضعيفة أصلاً تدهورت تحت ضغط السفر، وتوفي بالقرب من سميرنا في طريقه إلى الوطن.[2]
وصلت مجموعاته إلى الوطن سالمة، وبعد خمس سنوات من وفاته، نشر لينيوس ملاحظاته تحت عنوان Iter Palæstinum, Eller Resa til Heliga Landet, Förrättad Ifrån år 1749 til 1752، والذي تُرجم إلى الفرنسية والألمانية عام 1762 وإلى الإنجليزية عام 1766[2] (بعنوان Voyages and Travels in the Levant, in the Years 1749, 50, 51, 52).[3]
انتُخب عضوًا في الأكاديمية الملكية السويدية للعلوم عام 1750.
Hasselquist is commemorated in the scientific name of a species of lizard, Ptyodactylus hasselquistii.[4]
