- المجاعة في مصر بسبب نقص فيضان النيل: troubles following the famine (end in 1025 ). Pilgrims going to Mecca are stripped. In the army, the black slaves revolt 4 . On the day of the feast of the sacrifice, they enter the palace and devour the victuals provided by the caliph for his guests. More than a thousand slaves gather and plunder the country. The caliph gives the order to kill any black slave who would try to attack an Egyptian. People arm themselves and real battles take place. Taken slaves have their heads cut off. The great dignitaries of the country must cloister themselves in their houses, because the black slaves want to massacre them for revenge.
