جزر إغادي
جزر إگادي (إيطالية: Isole Egadi؛ صقلية: [Ìsuli Ègadi] Error: {{Lang}}: text has italic markup (help)؛ لاتينية: Aegates Insulae؛ باليونانية قديمة: Aἰγάται Νῆσοι حرفياً 'جزر النعاج'؛ إنگليزية: Aegadian Islands) هي مجموعة من خمس جزر جبلية في البحر المتوسط مقابل الساحل الشمالي الغربي لـصقلية، إيطاليا، بالقرب من مدن تراپاني و مرسالا، بمساحة إجمالية 37.45 كم².[1]
جزيرة فاڤينيانا (إگوسا Aegusa)، الكبرى، تقع على بعد 16 كم جنوب غرب تراپاني؛ لڤانزو (فوربانتيا) تقع على بعد 13 كم غرباً، و مارِتـِّيمو، هيرا نسوس القديمة، على بعد 24 كم غرب تراپاني، يُعترف بها الآن كجزء من المجموعة. كما توجد جزيرتان صغيرتان، Formica and Maraone, lying between Levanzo and Sicily. For administrative purposes the archipelago constitutes the comune of Favignana in the Province of Trapani.
The overall population in 2017 was 4,292.[2] Winter frost is unknown and rainfall is low. The main occupation of the islanders is fishing, and the largest tuna fishery in Sicily is there.

التاريخ
There is evidence of Neolithic and even Paleolithic paintings in caves on Levanzo, and to a lesser extent on فاڤينيانا.
The islands were the scene of the Battle of the Aegates of 241 BC, in which the Carthaginian fleet was defeated by the Roman fleet led by Lutatius Catulus; the engagement ended the First Punic War. After the end of Western Roman power in the first millennium AD, the islands, to the extent that they were governed at all, were part of territories of Goths, Vandals, العرب، قبل أن يحصّن النورمان فاڤينيانا في 1081.
The islands belonged to the Pallavicini-Rusconi family of Genoa until 1874, when the Florio family of Palermo bought them.
