إدوارد تلر (إنگليزية: Edward Tellercode: en is deprecated ؛ اسم مجري Teller Ede؛ و.1908م – 2003م). عالم ذرة أمريكي فذ، غالبًا ما يُسمَّى أبو القنبلة الهيدروجينية. وقد أدى عمله وبحوثه في الفيزياء النووية إلى اختراع القنبلة الهيدروجينية عام 1952م.

ولد تلر في 15 يناير عام 1908م في بودابست المجر. وفي عام 1932م حصل على شهادة دكتوراه الفيزياء من جامعة ليبزج في ألمانيا. وفي عام 1941م، أثناء الحرب العالمية الثانية، التحق تلر بمشروع القنبلة الذرية في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية. وعمل في مختبر لوس ألاموس الوطني في ولاية نيومكسيكو حتى عام 1952م. ثم التحق بالعمل في مختبر لورانس ليفرمور للأبحاث في ليڤرمور، كاليفورنيا المتخصص في تصميم الأسلحة النووية. وفي الفترة 1953-1975م، عمل أستاذًا للفيزياء في جامعة كاليفورنيا، وشغل منصب مدير مختبر ليفرمور بين عامي 1958 و1960م، ومديرًا متعاونًا للمختبر بين عامي 1972و 1975م.
