Found in some rumors released earlier than the "Far Out" event, The successor to the iPhone 13 Pro models began in development to use the LTPO technology for the Always-On Display, improving the megapixel of the main camera from 12MP to 48MP, and reimagining from the notch display (introduced with the iPhone X in 2017 and its narrower notch size introduced with the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro in 2021) into the new type of the cutout display. Many prototype structures of the cutout display are including narrower notch size as the iPhone 13, "i" shape and pill shape.
The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max were officially announced alongside the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, Apple Watch Series 8, second-generation Apple Watch SE, Apple Watch Ultra, second-generation AirPods Pro and the new update to the Apple Fitness+ via a virtual press event filmed and recorded at Apple Park in Cupertino, California on September 7, 2022. Pre-orders began on September 9 at 5:00 AM PST. Pricing starts at US$999 for the iPhone 14 Pro and US$1099 for the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Availability to launch starting on September 16 for both iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Design
The iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max are available in four colors: Silver, Space Black, Gold and Deep Purple. Deep Purple is a new color replacing Sierra Blue, while Space Black is a renaming of Graphite.

The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max features a new A16 Bionic system on a chip (SoC), superseding the A15 Bionic seen on the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro lineup, the 3rd generation iPhone SE, and the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus.
Software
Like with the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus, the 14 Pro and Pro Max will ship with iOS 16.
Dynamic Island
The Dynamic Island is a reimagining of the notch found in previous iPhone models starting with iPhone X. It is designed to serve useful information, like when the AirPods are connected, or when the device is being charged. It will also show a tiny thumbnail of the album art from Apple Music, show when Apple Pay is being accessed, or when Do Not Disturb is switched on. These icons appear as an expansion on either side of the sensors and because of the way the pixels match the black sensors, the animations look impressively seamless.[3] The Dynamic Island can also expand further into the wider iPhone 14 display. For example, incoming calls and a running stopwatch appear in a banner that stretches out from the sensors. Face ID indicators also drops down from the Dynamic Island rather than appearing in the centre of the display.
The Dynamic Island is also interactive. For instance, if someone wants to check their battery status of their AirPods, or cease a voice recording, they can easily do so by expanding the Dynamic Island. Ongoing acitivites like Maps directions or sports scores can also be expanded by a simple tap and hold.
