فولكر پرتس (ألمانية: Volker Perthes؛ و. 16 مايو 1958)، هو عالم سياسي ألماني، والممثل الخاص للأمين العام للأمم المتحدة للسودان ورئيس بعثة الأمم المتحدة المتكاملة لمساعدة الانتقال في السودان (يونتامس).[1]

السنوات المبكرة

وُلد فولكر پرتس في دويسبورگ، هامبورگ في 16 مايو 1958. بعد دراسته العلوم السياسية في جامعة دويسبورگ، حصل پرتس على منحة دراسات عليا من الهيئة الألمانية للتبادل الثقافي، حيث قام بأبحاث في دمشق من عام 1986 حتى 1987.[2] وفي عام 1990 حصل على الدكتوراه من جامعة دويسبورگ. من 1991 حتى 1933 كان أستاذاً مساعداً في الجامعة الأمريكية ببيروت، ثم قام بالتدريس في جامعة دويسبورگ، مونستر وميونخ. وأصبح أستاذاً عام 1999.[3]

في سبتمبر 2015، وجه ستفان دى ميستورا، المبعوث الأممي الخاص لسوريا، الدعة لپرتس للمشاركة في محادثات الأمم المتحدة حول عملية السلام في سوريا، بصفته كبير مستشاري المبعوث الخاص للأمم المتحدة. منذ أكتوبر 2016، يترأس پرتس قوة فض النزاعات CTF). في 8 يناير 2021، أصبح پرتس رئيس بعثة الأمم المتحدة المتكاملة لمساعدة الانتقال في السودان (يونتامس).

في 2 فبراير 2021، استقبل السفير عمر الشيخ، المنسق الوطني ورئيس اللجنة الوطنية التنفيذية للتنسيق مع بعثة الأمم المتحدة، نايبة عن الحكومة السودانية، فولكر پرتس، الممثل الخاص للأمين العام للامم المتحدة ورئيس بعثة الأمم المتحدة المتكاملة لمساعدة الانتقال في السودان (يونتامس) بعد وصوله للبلاد لتقلد منصبه الخاص بتنفيذ القرار الأممي (2524).[4]
