ترو نوليدج ليمتد. هى قاعدة معرفية و محرك بحث علم الدلالةاللغوية البدايات تتركز غىكامبريدج إنجلترة وأسسها ويليام تونيستال-بيدو. و كان منتجها الأول ماكينة الأجوبة التى تهدف الى الإجابة مباشرة على السؤال مطروحا بلغة إنجليزية نصية بطريقة رسومية منطقية من قاعدة بيانات حقائق منفصلة[1][2]. وأطلقت ماكينة الإجابة ترو نوليدج للإستخدام كنسخة إختبار نسحة بيتا للإختبار والتطوير في نوفمبر 7, 2007[3].

الفرضية
محرك البحث ترو إنجين يحاول فهم الأسئلة المطروحة بإستبعاد الغموض من الكلمات في السؤال, لإيجاد أفضل معنى ممكن للسؤال المطروح.وذلك من خلال الاستفادة من قاعدة بياناتها من معرفة وقائع منفصلة . ويتم تخزين هذه الحقائق على شكل بيانات للكمبيوتر يمكن أن يفهمها., ماكينة الأجوبة تحاول أن تعطى إجابة لما تشمله من تساؤلات وأن تكون هذه المسألة من الناحية المنطقية للاستدلال [4]. فمثلا, إذا أراد شخص أن يسأل“ماهو تاريخ الميلاد چورچ.دبليو بوش?”,فإن ترونوليدج إنجين. سوف تستخلص من حقائق “چورچ.دبليو بوش هو رئيس ”,“چورچ.دبليو بوش هو إنسان”, “ الرئيس هو تصنيف فرعى من أنسان”, “تاريخ الميلاد هو سياق عام من تاريخ الخلق ”, و “والسادس من يوليو هو تاريخ خلق چورچ.دبليو بوش”, و لكى نحصل على الإجابة البسيطة, “اليوم السادس من يوليو”. صحيح فإن ترو نوليدج تختلف عن منافسيها من أمثال فرى بيس و داتابيس بيديا في أنه أنهم يعطونا وصولا الى اللغة الطبيعية .وخلافا للبعض الآخر, المستخدمين الذين يبرزون معلومات إلى ترو نوليدج يمنحون رخصة دائمة "غير حصرية،ولا رجعة فيها،لاستخدام هذه المعلومات لتشغيل هذا الموقع الإليكترونى و لأى أغراض أخرى.".[5]
Knowledge Accumulation and Verification
True Knowledge gathers information for its database in two ways: importing it from credible external databases and from user submission following a consistent format and detailed process for input[6]. True Knowledge strives to monitor this user submitted knowledge in multiple ways. One method involves a system of checks and balances in some ways similar to Wikipedia’s, allowing users to modify or “agree”/“disagree” with information presented by True Knowledge. The system itself also assess submitted information due the fact that the information is submitted as discrete facts that computers can understand. The system is able to reject any facts that are semantically incompatible with other approved knowledge. On November 21, 2008, True Knowledge announced on its official blog that over 100,000 facts had been added by beta users and as of December 11, 2008 the True Knowledge database overall contained 116,458,862 facts about 4,473,254 things [7][8].
Financing
On May 7, 2007, True Knowledge Ltd. announced it would be “actively seeking investments following several years of internally-funded development”[9]. Then, on September 17, 2007, Octopus Ventures, a British venture capitalist firm, announced its investment of more than $1.2 million dollars into True Knowledge, the first significant investment into the company, allowing it to further develop its website and achieve critical milestones towards bringing the True Knowledge Answer Engine to market[10]. On July 30, 2008, True Knowledge announced it had raised another $4 million in a second round of funding from Octopus Ventures and other investors that would be used towards expanding its staff, developing new products, and moving towards a rollout within 6 months[11].
