ساس (بروتوكول)
في الحوسبة، ساس SAS (الاسم كاملاً Serial Attached SCSI)، هو پروتوكول مسلسل من نقطةإلى نقطة ينقل البيانات إلى ومن وسائط تخزين الحاسوب مثل الأقراص الصلبة وأقراص التخزين. يستبدل ساس بتقنية Parallel SCSI (منصة نظام حاسوب متوازية أصغر، عادة ما يختصر اسمها إلى "سكزي") التي ظهرت لأول مرة في منتصف الثمانينيات. يستخدم ساس، مثل سابقه، مجموعة أوامر SCSI. يوفر ساس توافقية اختيارية مع Serial ATA (SATA)، الإصدار الثاني والتالي. يسمح نظام ساس بتوصيل أقراص SATA إلى معظم أنواع SAS backplanes or controllers. The reverse, connecting SAS drives to SATA backplanes, is not possible.[1]
