دور الجندر

دور الجندر gender role، هي مجموعة معايير تُملي أنواع السلوكيات التي تعتبر مقبولة، مناسبة، أو مرغوبة للأشخاص تبعاً للجنس أو الجنسانية الفعلية أو المتصورة. عادة ما تتمحور أدوار الجندر على مفاهيم الأنثوية والذكورية، بالرغم من أن هناك استثناءات واختلافات. قد تختلف التفاصيل المتعلقة باستناءات الجندر اختلافاً كبيراً بين الثقافات، بينما هناك سمات أخرى قد تكون شائعة بين مجموعة الثقافات. هناك جدل مستمر حول مدى وجود أدوار الجند وما إذا كانت اختلافاتها محددة حيوياً، وإلى أي مدى تكون مبنية اجتماعياً.

رجال ونساء في مهن غير تقليدية للجندر، من أعلى اليسار إلى أسفل اليمين، أو من أعلى إلى أسفل: قابلة ذكر في أوسلو، النرويج؛ نساء ضمن الشرطة الوطنية الأفغانية؛ امرأة تعمل في مجال الانشاءات في جزر سليمان؛ موظف استقبال يعمل مع الوكالة الفيدرالية لإدارة الطوارئ للمساعدة في الانقاذ من الكوارث.

جماعات مختلفة، ومن أشهرها الحركة الأنثوية، تزعمت جهود لتغيير مفاهيم أدوار الجندر السائدة والتي يعتقدون أنها قمعية وغير دقيقة.

صيغ مصطلح دور الجندر لأول مرة من قبل جون موني عام 1955، أثناء دورة دراسية يطرح فيها دراسته الخاصة بالأفراد ثنائيي الجنس، لوصف السبل التي عبر من خلالها هؤلاء الأشخاص عن حالتهم كذكر أو أنثى في حالة لا يوجد فيها تحديد حيوي واضح.
