إريش هوكل
إريش أرماند أرتور جوزف هوكل ForMemRS[1] (و. 9 أغسطس 1896، برلين - ت. 16 فبراير 1980)، هو عالم فيزياء وكيمياء فيزيائية ألماني.[2] اشتهر باسهامين بارزين:
- نظرية دباي-هوكل للمحاليل الكهربلية
- طريقة هوكل لحساب المدارات الجزيئية في نظم إلكترون π.

وُلد هوكل في ضاحية تشارلوتنبورگ، برلين. درس الفيزياء والرياضيات من 1914 حتى 1921 في جامعة گوتينگن.
حصل على الدكتوراه، وأصبح مساعد في گوتينگن، لكنه سرعان ما أصبح مساعد لپيتر دباي في زيورخ. هناك قام برفقة باي بتطوير نظريتهما (نظرية دباي-هوكل، عام 1923) للمحاليل الكهرلية، توضيح سلوك للكهرلات القوية بواسطة القوى الأيونية الداخلية، لحساب التوصيل الكهربائي ومعاملات فاعليتهم الديناميكية الحرارية.[3]
بعد قضاءه عام 1928 و1929 في إنگلترة والدنمارك، وعمله لفترة وجيزة مع نيلز بور، انضم هوكل لطاقم تدريس جامعة شتوتگارت. عام 1935، انتقل إلى جامعة فليپس في ماربورگ، حيث عُين في النهاية أستاذاً قبل عام من تقاعده عام 1961. كان عضواً في الأكاديمية الدولية للعلوم الجزيئية الكمومية.
