رسالة تحت عتبية

رسالة تحت عتبية Subliminal مصطلح يشير إلى المثيرات التي تكون أضعف، أو تستغرق فترة زمنية أقل من أن يُدركَها أو يحسُّها الفرد. ويُطلق على مثل هذه المثيرات، اسم المثيرات اللاوعيية (تحت مستوى الشعور) وتختلف مستويات الشعور والإدراك باختلاف الأشخاص والأزمنة بل وتختلف حتى عند الشخص الواحد نفسه. ويحاول علماءُ النفس تحديد ما إذا كان يمكن لمثيرات التحت عتبي أن تؤثِّر في الناس من خلال اللاشعور. وقد استفاد الخبراء من مثيرات التحت عتبي في مجال الدعاية.
