جمعية الفيلم الأمريكي The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA)، في الأصل كان إسمها جمعية موزعي ومنتجي الأفلام وهي جمعية لا تهدف للربح بأي شكل تأسست في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، وقد أنشئت لكي تزيد من منفعة أستوديوهات الإنتاج الهوليوودية أعضائها الأساسيين هم ستة من أكبر ستوديوهات هوليوود، وهم: بوينا ڤستا، سوني، پاراماونت، فوكس للقرن العشرين، يونيفرسال، وأخيراً وارنر برذرز

الهدف
بجانب ما سبق و قلناه أن الجمعية تضع أسس التقييم للأفلام ،فإن الجمعية تهدف أيضاً إلى حماية أعضائها فكرياً من جرائم النشر و سرقة الملكية الفكرية . فهي تسعى إلى الرقي في إدارة تكنولوجيات الحقوق الرقمية ، مما دفع البعض للقول أنها تنتهك حقوق المستهلك و أخرين حين تحاول أن توازين بين حقوق الفنان و حق المستهلك .
قامت الجمعية بدور كبير للغاية في غلق العديد من مواقع تبادل ملفات الأفلام و التي كانت الأفلام الغير مصرح بها للعرض العام تحمل من الشبكة مجاناً ..و قد ظهرت معالم هذه الجمعية في هذا المجال حينما تم غلق موقعي "LokiTorrent" و "EliteTorrent" (من أكبر مواقع التورنت في العالم), و تم الإعلان عن غلق الموقعين لتشجيعهما النشر غير الشرعي لمواد محفوظة الحقوق.

On the box: "Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian" |
| NC-17 | Adults Only | "Clearly adult. Children are not admitted."
On the box: "No One 17 and Under Admitted" |
