التلفزيون فائق الدقة Ultra-high-definition television (اختصاراً Ultra HD أو Ultra HD، UHDTV، UHD، وSuper Hi-Vision)، يشمل اليوم تلفزيون فائق الجودة بدقة 4K وتلفزيون فائق الجودة بدقة 8K والذي طرحته لأول مرة مختبرات هيئة الإذاعة اليابانية للأبحاث العلمية والذي تم تعميه والموافقة عليه لاحقاً من قبل الاتحاد الدولي للاتصالات.[1][2][3][4]

في 7 أكتوبر 2012 أعلنت رابطة الإلكترونيات الإستهلاكية أن "الجودة الفائقة، ستستخدم للشاشات التي يصل قياس عرضها إلى 16:9 أو أكبر ومدخل رقمي واحد على الأقل قادراً على حمل وتقديم الڤيديو الأصلي بمتوسط جودة 3840×2160 پيكسل.[5][6]

التسمية

التلفزيون فائق الدقة والمعروف أيضا بـUltra HDTV أو اختصاراً UHDTV بدأ في اليابان حيث كان أول من قام بتجربة هذه الصيغ الحديثة،[7][8][9][10][11] وقد عُرِف أيضاً باسم Super Hi-Vision بعد تمت تسمية أجهزة التلفزيون HD باسم Hi-Vision.[12][13] ظهرت هذه التقنية الحديثة لدقة العرض التلفزيوني لأول مرة خلال معرض الإلكترونيات الاستهلاكية 2012 تحت الاسم الأولي 4K لكنه تغير خلال معرض الإلكترونيات الاستهلاكية 2013 إلى التسمية الحالية Ultra HDTV.[10][11] حيث سجل كمصطلح عام.[14]

قياسات العرض

التلفزيون فائق الدقة ينقسم إلى قياسين أساسيين:[7][8][9]

4K

هي مضاعفة للمعيار 1080 بي، أي بضرب الطول والعرض لأعلى كثافة في 2 لتحصل على الكثافة الأعلى والتي تصبح 2160 عرض × 3840 طول (8.29 ميگابكسل).

8K

هي مضاعفة للمعيار 4K، أي بضرب الطول والعرض لأعلى كثافة في 2 لتحصل على الكثافة الأعلى والتي تصبح 4320 عرض × 7680 طول (33.18 ميجابكسل).[8][15][16]
