في مجال التسويق وإدارة الأعمال، يقصد بـإدارة سلسلة التزويد (Supply Chain Management) عمليات التنسيق التنظيمي والاستراتيجي لوظائف الأعمال المعتادة وتخطيط هذه الوظائف داخل الشركة ومن خلال مجموعة أعمال داخل سلسلة التزويد (Supply Chain) من أجل تحسين الأداء طويل المدى للشركات بشكل منفرد ولسلسلة التزويد ككل.

أهداف إدارة سلسلة التزويد:

  1. زيادة كمية المعلومات وفي الوقت نفسه تقليل نفقات المخزون وتشغيل العمليات .
  2. إيجاد شفافية في المعلومات وتقليل العقبات التي يمكن أن توجد.
  3. إيجاد مفهوم شامل لعمليات الإمداد
  4. تحسين استمرارية إدارة المواد والمعلومات والتدفق النقدي.
  5. تقليل تعقيد الأعمال إلى أبعد قدر ممكن.
