ارتفاع القطب (فلك)

زاوية ارتفاع القطب أو سمت الرأس Zenith ، هو مصطلح يشير إلى المسافة الزاوية على السماء من أفق الراصد الى قطب السماء وهذه المسافة تعادل تماما العرض الجغرافي للمكان. وارتفاع القطب غير ثابت فقيمته تتأرجح في فترة (دورة) طولها من 415-433 يوماً. وهي أحد الإحداثيات الثلاث المكونة لنظام الإحداثيات الكري.
