نورماندي (سفينة)

نوروماندي (سفينة) SS Normandie سفنية بخارية عابرة المحيطات بنيت في سانت نازير، في فرنسا لشركة عبر الأطلسي العامة. دخلت الخدمة عام 1935 كانت ولا تزال تعتبر أسرع وأكبر سفينة تربو كهربائي ذات الدفع للركاب على الإطلاق.

خلال الحرب العالمية الثانية نورماندي اختطف من قبل سلطات الولايات المتحدة في نيويورك، وأطلق عليها اسم يو اس اس لافاييت في عام 1942 احترقت نورماندي وانقلبت حيث غرست في الطين في نهر هدسون في محطة نيويورك لسفن الركاب، وكان من الصعب استعادتها أو إصلاحها، فألغيت في تشرين الأول عام 1946.
