البوت‌نت botnet، هي مجموعة برامج متصلة بالإنترنت تتواصل مع البرامج المشابه الأخرى بهدف تطبيق مهام. يمكنها أن تظل محتفظة بحد أدنى من التحكم بقناة آي أر سي، أو يمكنه أن تستخدم لإرسال رسائل سپام أو أن تشارك في هجمات الحرمان من الخدمات. كلمة بوت‌نت هي اختصار لكلمتي روبوت robot وشبكة network.
