مجمع حراري شمسي

مـُجمـِّع حراري شمسي solar thermal collector هو مجمع شمسي مصنوع خصيصاً لجمع الحرارة: أي، لامتصاص ضوء الشمس للإمداد بالحرارة. وبالرغم من أن المصطلح قد يستخدم للاشارة إلى ألواح تسخين الماء الشمسية البسيطة، فعادة ما تستخدم للاشارة إلى تركيبات أكثر تعقيداً. There are various types of thermal collectors, such as solar parabolic, solar trough and solar towers. These type of collectors are generally used in solar power plants where solar heat is used to generate electricity by heating water to produce steam which drives a turbine connected to an مولد كهربائي.
