آثار إغبو-أوكوو
آثار إگبو-أوكوو تمثلت في مشغولات برونزية تعود إلى القرن 9 والتي أُكتُشفت أثناء حفريات ثرستان شو وفريقه في 1959 و 1964 في إگبو-أوكوو، وهي بلدة للإگبو في نيجيريا الحالية. وقد أجريت حفريات في ثلاث مواقع، أظهرت مشغولات برونزية بجانب خزف وآلاف حبات الخرز، ومواد تثبت وجود تجارة آنذاك مع حضارات بعيدة مثل مصر.

حوالي القرن التاسع، طوّر شعب إگبو فيما هو الآن جنوب شرق نيجيريا، مصبوبات تماثيل برونزية لأشخاص وحيوانات وكائنات خرافية، وكانت تستخدم كأوعية وتمائم ودلايات وأدوات لتقديم الأضاحي، وكان ذلك من أقدم المشغولات البرونزية التي عُثر عليه في نيجيريا. معظم الأغراض كانت جزءاً من دفن نبيل من حضارة نري-إگبو في الجزء الشمالي من أرض الإگبو. كما اكتُشفت أدلة على التجارة مع أماكن بعيدة من آلاف الخرزات الزجاجية المكتشفة في المواقع. اكتشاف المشغولات البرونزية قام به الأهالي في إگبو-أوكوو، وكان ذلك بداية تطور مملكة نري Nri Kingdom.
