34°16′29″N 116°53′56″W / 34.274703°N 116.898942°W Holcomb Valley is nestled in San Bernardino National Forest, 5 miles north of Big Bear Lake. It is home to a historic landmark: Bellevill, (The Van Dusen Cabin.) Bellevill Holcomb Valley was founded in late 1859, named after the first child born in Holcomb Valley, Belle Van Dusen, daughter of Ted Van Dusen, the town’s Blacksmith and early Pioneer. The landmark was erected by the Billie Holcomb Chapter, E. Clampus vitus October 1979. The Landmark sits among ‘sensitive area and species’ as determined by the San Bernardino National Forrest.
