English: Halidon Hill battle site Plaque marking the site of the English during the Battle of Halidon Hill in 1333. Edward and his army took up position on Halidon Hill, two miles to the north-west of Berwick, which gives an excellent view of the town and surrounding countryside. From this point all of the approaches to Berwick were covered.
The pig farm at Bogend can be seen in the background.
