English: Artur London (* 1 February 1915 Ostrava - 7 November 1986 Paris) was a Czechoslovak communist politician, diplomat and publicist. He was a member of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia (KSČ) from his youth, served in Spain in the ranks of the Inter-Brigades, and after the war worked as a diplomat and Deputy Foreign Minister of the Czechoslovakia. He was arrested in 1951, forced to confess to anti-state crimes, and finally sentenced to life imprisonment in 1952 in the political trial of Rudolf Slánský.
