احتياطي الغرب
احتياطي الغرب Connecticut Western Reserve مصطلح يدل على شريحة من الأرض بمحاذاةبحيرة إيري في أوهايو بالولايات المتحدة. ففي عام 1662م، منح الملك تشارلز الثاني ملك إنجلترا صكًا لمستعمرة كونكتيكت، وأعطاها حق ملكية الأراضي الممتدة في اتجاه الغرب من المحيط الأطلسي إلى المحيط الهادئ. وفي عام 1786م، أعطت كونكتيكت لحكومة الولايات المتحدة الجديدة الامتداد الكبير لأراضي الغرب المحجوزة بموجب صكها الأصلي، واحتفظت كونكتيكت بشريحة من الأرض بمحاذاة بحيرة إيري في أوهايو، وسُمِّيت تلك الشريحة احتياطي الغرب، وامتدَّت غربًا حوالي 193كم من الحدود الشمالية الغربية لبنسلفانيا، واشتملت على 1,483,982 هكتارًا. وفي عام 1800م، اتفقت كونكتيكت وحكومة الولايات المتحدة على ضم تلك الأرض لمقاطعة أوهايو.
