آذريون
الآذر أو الأذربيجانيون Azerbaijanis[26][27][28][29] هي جماعة عرقية متواجدة بشكل عام في شمال غرب إيران وفي جمهورية أذربيجان وأيضاً في المنطقة بين القوقاز وهضبة إيرانالأذربيجانيون لديهم ميراث ثقافي ذو خصوصيات إيرانية، تركية وقوقازية. الأغلبية الأذربيجانية مسلمة، لكن توجد فئات كثيرة بينهم تنتمي إلى المسيحية والبهائية وعدة ديانات أخرى، وبالرغم من هذا الكثير منهم يعتبرون أنفسهم غير متدينين. يتحدث الأذر يتحدثون باللغة الأذرية وهي لغة تنتمي إلى اللغات التركية.

يوجد في العالم تقريباً بين 25.5 و 33 مليون أذري، أغلبيتهم تعيش في إيران وأذربيجان ولكن توجد أقليّات أذرية في روسيا وتركيا وجورجيا وفي الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية. كانت في أرمينيا أقلية أذرية لكنها فرت من البلاد كنتيجة لصراع قرة باغ مع أذربيجان.
