حمید دباشي

حميد دباشي ، هو مفكر ومؤرخ وناقد ثقافي ومنظر أدبي إيراني-أمريكي وله إسهامات هامة في مجال الدراسات الإيرانية، [السينما العالمية]، والشيعية من منظور ما بعد الإستعمار. وهو أستاذ كرسي هاگوب كڤوركيان في قسم الدراسات الإيرانية والأدب المقارن في جامعة كلومبيا، مدينة نيويورك، أقدم وأهم كرسي في مجال الدراسات الإيرانية.

ولد حميد دباشي في مدينة الأحواز في إيران، درس في إيران ثم في الولايات المتحدة، حيث حصل على شهادة الدكتوراه في علم اجتماع الثقافة والدراسات الاسلامية من جامعة پنسلڤانيا عام 1984، وزمالة ما بعد الدكتوراه في جامعة هارفرد. قدم دباشي رسالته حول نظرية ماكس ويبر السلطة الكاريزمية مع فيليپ ريف، أبرز ناقد ثقافي فرويدي. وحصل على جوائز في التأليف والمحاضرة في مختلف أنحاء العالم، يعيش دباشي في مدينة نيويورك مع زوجته وزميلته الناشطة النسائية الإيرانية-السويدية گلبرگ باشي.
