رقيقة بحيرات

رقيقة بحيرات lake varve، زوج من طبقات رواسب البحيرات يعبر عن التغير السنوي في ظروف الترسيب، وهو يتكون من رقيقة فاتحة اللون أكبر سمكا ترسبت في فصل الصيف، وأخرى داكنة اللون أقل سمكا، وذات حبيبات أدق حجما ترسبت في فصل الشتاء.

Pleistocene age varves at Scarborough Bluffs, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The thickest varves are more than half an inch thick.
