- Xerxes I is just beginning his reign after the death of his father Darius the Great in 486 BC.[1] During this time the Persian empire extends as far west as Macedonia and Libya and as far east as the Hyphasis (Beas) River; it stretches to the Caucasus Mountains and the Aral Sea in the north and to the Persian Gulf and the Arabian Desert in the south.

- In the 2nd moon , Wu , Lu , Zhu and Tan attacked the southern borders of Qi (to help Chen), they were supported by the Jin general Zhao Yang.
- The Yue Wang Gou Jian came to the Wu Wang and presented gifts to the Wang, as well as to Taizai Pi. Wu Tzu-xu advised to destroy Yue , but Wu Wang did not listen to him, but sent him as an ambassador to Qi. Taizai Pi (Bo Pei) and Yue's Feng Tong slandered Wu Tzu-hsu (Wu Yun). In Qi Wu, Tzu-xu left his son in the care of the Qi Bao Mu (from the Bao-shi clan). Having learned about this from Bo Pei's speech, Wu Wang ordered Wu Tzu-xu to commit suicide. Before throwing himself on the sword, he asked to place his eyes on the eastern gate of the capital Wu in order to see how the Yue troops would take it, and to plant a catalpa on his grave, from which they would make a coffin for the wang; by order of the wang, his body was sewn into a bag and thrown into the Yangtze [5] (in accordance with the story of chapter 41 “ Shi Chi ” and episode 233 “ Guo Yu ”, the death of Wu Tzu-xu occurred after the battle of Ailin, as Vasiliev also states).
